I'm Franklin J.
Here's my story...
I am a visual designer based out of Chicago, IL. (Chi-Town in the house!)
UI/UX design allows me to apply my customer-focused approach in successful marketing executions to the user and the digital interface that they will interact with. I am a creative, dedicated leader eager to start producing better experiences for end users.

What's my thoughts on design
Design is not a new concept for me. From a young age, I was always taught that we are all creatures of design from a higher power. Our bodies were designed by God, to function beyond our own comprehension. Our minds were designed to constantly seek new knowledge, forever thirsting for our own understanding of the truth. Our hearts were designed to yearn for love, to be validated with affection and appreciation outside of ourselves. Design is woven into every aspect of life, and true design speaks to each person individually. Design; for me; has always been to connect the unconnected, inspire for more, and to be my most authentic self.
Where did my creativity start?
I started this design journey early on. From helping my play grandmother make floral arrangements for church functions to designing a prom dress for my best friend’s little sister, I have always had a foot (or maybe a big toe) in the world of design and creativity. After I graduated from Clark Atlanta University (Reign Clark Atlanta! Thou Reign is Reignest!) I started my career in retail and visual merchandising From working with some of the top brands in fashion and retail, to creating and designing special events; design has been a major influence on my life and work.
How did I start into UI Design?
After working in retail for so long, I was looking for something more in my career. I realized that the retail world that I started working in wasn't the same industry in the present. With the rise of digital offerings such as online shopping and virtual assistance, I noticed a rise in technology in not just retail, but in all aspects of life. So to stay relevant in the workforce I decided to shift my career. I took a bootcamp course in UX/UI Design at FlatIron School and learned so much valuable and relevant information from this course. I also gained real-world experiences and trainings that I am excited to take to a new organization.
